The new Redmi Note 12, Pro, Pro+, and Pro+ Explorer Edition can charge up to 210W, have cameras with 200 megapixels, and more.
The Redmi Note 11 has been replaced by new phones from Xiaomi’s Redmi brand. The company has announced up to four new models in the new Redmi Note 12 series for the Asian market. This is one of its most popular and well-balanced series in terms of features and prices. The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12+, Note 12 Pro+, and its Explorer edition come with the latest from MediaTek, cameras with up to 200 megapixels, and a fast charge of up to 210W for the first time.
It’s interesting that many of the features of the four new models are the same. For example, they all have the same screen, the same processor (except the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12), and almost the same battery life. So, we have OLED screens that are 6.67 inches and have a refresh rate of 120 Hz and Full HD+ resolution. Xiaomi has given these screens some interesting extras, like the ability to work with HDR10+ or Dolby Vision. The brightness of the screens is also 900 nits, while the brightness of the smartphones can reach 1,200 nits.
In terms of performance, the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC is used in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Series. They also have 6, 8, or 12 GB of RAM and either 128 or 256 GB of storage. On the other hand, the phone has a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor, 128 or 256 GB of storage, and 4, 6, or 8 GB of RAM.
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ Explorer Edition charges in 9 minutes
On the other hand, the Explorer edition has a single 8GB RAM and 1256GB configuration. It also has a slightly smaller battery than the other models. It has 4,350 mAh, while the Note 12, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro+ all have 5,000 mAh.
Yes, this lower capacity is made up for by a very unique feature: the 210W load. The company says that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ Explorer Edition’s battery can be fully charged in just 9 minutes. This is almost as fast as it would take to say the full name of the phone. The Xiaomi Pro+ model also charges very quickly: 120W, compared to 66W for the Pro model and 33W for the regular version.
When it comes to the cameras, both the models have three lenses. All three versions have an ultra-wide-angle sensor with 8 megapixels and a depth sensor with 2 megapixels. The main camera on the Pro + and Pro + Explorer models is 200 megapixels, while the main camera is 50 megapixels.
The camera of the phone is a little less complicated. It gets rid of the ultra-wide sensor in favor of a main camera. Which is 48 megapixels and a depth lens with 2 megapixels.
