TAG Heuer worked with Nintendo to make two high-end watches that were inspired by Mario Kart. Fans of the famous video game will love them, as long as they have deep pockets.
If you like Mario Kart, you’ll love the new high-end watches made by TAG Heuer and Nintendo. But get ready to spend a lot of money on them because they won’t be cheap at all. The famous Swiss watchmaker made two limited-edition watches that were based on the popular franchise of a Japanese company.
Both are from the TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart series and have interesting features. The least expensive model is a chronograph with a polished steel 44-millimeter sports case. It has several references to the video game. The most important ones are the Mario Kart logo on the tachymeter bezel and the picture of Mario in his racing car on the second hand. The strap, on the other hand, is made of red and black calfskin.
The most expensive model has a tourbillon chronograph that is also full of Mario Kart references. The 45 mm case is made of grade 5 titanium, and the tachymeter scale has the game’s logo on it. But what really makes it stand out is the tri-compax skeleton dial, which has a custom Mario tourbillon and a spiked blue shell and a Bullet Bill, which are both racing symbols. The strap is also made of black and red calfskin.
The back of the case is different on the two models. In the chronograph, the cover is made of metal and has the Mario Kart logo engraved on it. In the tourbillon chronograph, the cover is made of sapphire crystal, which lets you see how the watch works.

Mario Kart watches are amazing, but they’re out of reach
We’ve already said that the TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart models are limited editions. The cheapest version will sell 3,000 units, while the most expensive version will only be available in 250 units.
In fact, people who want early access to the “normal” chronograph on October 20 can sign up until October 17. Those who want to buy the tourbillon chronograph, on the other hand, must sign up to be notified when it becomes available.
Both Mario Kart watches will only be sold online in the United States, Australia, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and Switzerland. While the least expensive model will cost 4,300 dollars (4,150 euros) and the most expensive will cost 25,600 dollars (24,750 euros).
It’s important to remember that in 2021, TAG Heuer and Nintendo worked together to make a Super Mario-themed watch. But it was a Wear OS smartwatch, and each of the 2,000 sold for $2,150.
