Sometimes when we have trouble charging our phones, we don’t know what the problem is. Most of the time, it’s the cable, the power adapter, the battery, or a broken connector. However, there is another common cause of these problems that we usually don’t think of right away. In this article we will reveal simple ways to solve mobile phone charging error
We’re talking about the dirt in the port for charging. And the port doesn’t have to be completely clogged with dirt, since often just a tiny bit of dust is enough to stop the cable from working. So, it’s important to clean it, but not however we please.
Problems that dirt in the port can cause
When you think about how often we carry our phones around. How often leave them in pockets, on tables that might have dust, etc., it makes sense that they get dirty.
But it can be a problem if you don’t take care of this section often. We might not be able to charge the battery at all, or there might be small cuts that make it work only sometimes. This is even worse when you think about how it can hurt the health of batteries.
Another common problem that has the same cause is that the phone can’t connect to other devices. Either to connect the phone to a computer or to use a wired headphone with a USB-C connector to listen to music. After all, the contact with the port is the same as the contact with the load, and dust causes problems in the same way.
How to clean the dirty port to fix mobile phone charging errors
It’s almost as important to know what not to do when cleaning this port as it is to know what to do. And it is that, unlike when cleaning the speakers, it is not at all recommended to use sharp objects, lint-free cloths, or liquids with abrasive particles when doing this. Also, you shouldn’t use any kind of liquid to clean this part because it’s the door to the inside of the device, and we all know that liquid and electronics don’t get along well.
You can do this with a few common household items that you probably already have. For example, a soft-bristled brush can put through the port and moved gently to remove dust particles. Also a lint-free, flattened swab. The same thing happens: you put it into the port and move it gently to clean it.

Once you’ve cleaned the port, you should check to see if your phone is charging well and if it can connect to other cables. Obviously, this isn’t a fix for every problem, and if the problem is caused by something else, having a clean port won’t help much. But you’d be surprised at how often this “nonsense” ends up being the reason why something doesn’t work.
