The Logitech G Cloud will try to break into the portable game console market. These are the things about it.
We finally know everything there is to know about the Logitech G Cloud, which is the company’s first portable console made in partnership with Tencent. It bets on cloud games, as its name suggests, so the processing will happen on servers from different platforms. Of course, you will need a Wi-Fi connection to the internet all the time.
Logitech hasn’t locked itself into one service, so it will work with both Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now. And because its operating system is based on Android, you’ll be able to download apps from the Google Play Store like you would on any other tablet, not just video games.
About the specifications? The Logitech G Cloud is only 463 grams and has a 7-inch IPS touch screen with 1080p resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The rate at which the screen is updated is 60 Hz. On the inside, there is a Qualcomm-signed Snapdragon 720G processor with up to 2.3 GHz clock speed and eight cores. It has 4GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 64GB of storage space.
Considering that we’re talking about a console that works with cloud gaming and doesn’t have to process the games itself, these specs are more than enough. Now, one thing that does matter a lot is the right to be free. The Logitech G Cloud battery can hold 6,000 mAh, which is enough to play for about 12 hours. Not bad for a laptop at all.
It’s controlled like an Xbox. With non-uniform sticks and Y, B, A, and X on the right. Top buttons provide Home, Logitech Launcher, and more game functions. The Logitech G Cloud features two triggers.
The maker says that all of the buttons can be set up however the player wants. It has a haptic feedback system to make the vibrations more accurate. It also has a gyroscope, but it will only work with games that support it on the services listed above.

As was said above, the Logitech G Cloud will have access to Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now. In fact, Logitech worked closely with Microsoft and Nvidia to make sure the integration went smoothly. Adding up the games for both platforms, console owners will have access to about 1,500 games.
Price and availability
The Logitech G Cloud will cost $349 in the United States when it goes on sale on October 17. But if you book it ahead of time, you can get it for $299. We don’t know when it will come out in other countries yet, but we think it won’t be long.
“We wanted to give ourselves a challenge by making a device that worked well for cloud gaming. This meant making precise controls, like those on a high-end Xbox controller, a big HD screen, a long-lasting battery, and a lightweight design so that gamers could play for long periods of time without having to give up anything ”Logitech Gaming’s vice president and general manager, Ujesh Desai, said this.
